# SnapShots

> WordPress plugin for named development snapshots of the database and uploads.

SnapShots saves and restores site state on the same server via the admin bar or `wp snapshot` WP-CLI commands. It is for local and development sites, not off-site production backup.

## Agent quick reference

When SnapShots is installed on a dev site:

1. `wp snapshot list --format=json`
2. `wp snapshot backup "Before <task>" --files` before risky changes
3. `wp snapshot restore "<name>"` only for your task snapshot or when the user asks
4. Do not `wp snapshot delete` unless the user asks
